French Open 2015: Milos Raonic withdraws after foot surgery


The Canadian star Milos Raonic has withdrawn from the upcoming French Open after failing to recover from a foot injury.

Raonic, 24, who is number. 6 in world rankings underwent surgery a little over a week ago to repair Morton’s Neuroma suffered at the Madrid Open.

His injury forced him to miss the Italian Open and now this year’s Roland Garros, which begins Sunday in Paris.

Unfortunately, I am sad to have to withdraw from Roland GARROS this year. I tried my best to be back and healthy in time…

Raonic has established himself as one of the talented prospects on the ATP World Tour reaching the Wimbledon semi-final in 2014, quarterfinalist in the 2014 French Open as well as this year’s Australian Open.
