The Australian Lleyton Hewitt has reached the 600 club milestone among current ATP World Tour players following his victory over Duthcman Robin Haase 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the first round of the Sony Open on Thursday.
Hewitt, 33, is became one of the only three current top players to achieved this glorious milestone, along with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
The former World No. 1 Hewitt’s next match is against the world’s top-ranked Rafael Nadal in the second round of Sony Open on Saturday night.
“It’s not something you focus on, to tell you the truth. I totally forgot,” said The Sydney Morning Herald quotes the 44th-ranked, Hewitt as saying.
“Obviously afterwards, it’s a great milestone. Not many people get to achieve that. Not many people get the opportunity to get close to that, so it means I’ve been around for an awfully long time as well. I’m getting old.
