Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny uses his Facebook account to rules out suggestions that he could make a permanent transfer to AS Roma when his loan term from Gunners expires in the summer.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan to the Italian outfit after being deemed surplus to requirements at the north London club by Arsene Wenger following the arrival of Petr Cech in last summer.
There have been speculations that the Giallorossi are considering making Szczesny’s switch to the Stadio Olimpico a permanent one.
However, the shot-stopper took to social media on Tuesday to refuse those rumours and admits that he is not ready to extend his loan spell in the summer.
He wrote on his Facebook page: “I get asked if I can stay on loan for one more year, I say it’s possible. Next thing you see, english media say “Szczesny wants permament transfer” You guys are proper.”
