Liverpool midfielder Jordon Ibe’s 37th-minute strike helped the Reds a first leg advantage over Stoke City in the League Cup semi-final at the Britannia Stadium.
The 20-year-old made the breakthrough after a nicely pass from midfielder Adam Lallana, and the Merseysiders held on to take a 1-0 lead back to Anfield ahead of the return leg on January 26.
