Tottenham Hotspur have got themselves in pole position in the race for the signature of Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie.
The Ivory international joined the Blaugrana in the summer but has started in just two top flight appearances for the Catalans.
According to Sport, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan and Napoli are keen on signing in a loan deal for the 25-year-old attacker, however any move would not happen until next summer.
The report goes on to claim that the Lilywhites are leading the race as their proposal includes an ‘interesting purchase option’.
Kessie’s salary of €5m per season is likely to be a significant stumbling block for any suitors.
The midfielder would prefer to remain at Camp Nou, but if the La Liga giants wish to sell him, he will reportedly not hinder the process.
Kessie has scored one goal in 13 appearances for the club in all competitions.
