As we already know – Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is ready to take in charge at Old Trafford, the Dutchman has got the chance to improve his squad in order to make the Red Devils much stronger than before.
Because of a poor performance by the club last season, there are plenty of things that should be changed at Manchester United ahead of new Premier League season and here SportsWar has picked out three things that we believe the club must consider this summer.
The first priority should be Defence – United have lost three key defenders in the form of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra and all of them should be replaced ahead of next season. With the recent signing of Luke Shaw from Southampton, who has been bought to play left back, but the 19-year-old is still young with a lack of experience. In order to improve the defence, United should need to bring a top class centre-back, who could be a perfect replacement of Evra.
The second thing should be Central Midfield – With the recent signing of Ander Herrera, he could be the man to cover this job but he has to be given time in order to fit in perfectly. By strengthening the midfield area, opponents will find it very hard to compete against the Red Devils.
The third should be Midfielder – United have been struggled with width and they should sign some new wide players to the squad. However, the duo – Antonio Valencia and Nani are perfect for this job but United need someone who can beat, make assists and can score goals as well.
