Report – Liverpool eye move for Antonee Robinson

Liverpool’s interest in Fulham’s Antonee Robinson could be a smart move as the Reds aim to bolster their defensive options. The American full-back, known for his pace, defensive solidity, and creative contribution, has been a standout performer for Fulham this season, contributing six assists in 18 league games. His consistency has caught the attention of several top clubs, with Liverpool reportedly leading the race.

At 27, Robinson is entering his prime and would offer Liverpool a dynamic alternative to Andrew Robertson, whose form has dipped slightly as he enters his 30s. Robinson’s ability to excel in both defensive and attacking phases aligns well with Liverpool’s high-intensity playing style.

Fulham, however, are unlikely to let their star player leave without a fight. With Robinson under contract until 2028, the Cottagers are expected to demand a substantial fee, reportedly in the range of £40-50 million. While such a price tag may seem steep, Liverpool’s ambition to compete for the Premier League and Champions League titles could justify the investment.

A January move seems plausible, but much will depend on Liverpool’s willingness to meet Fulham’s valuation and the player’s desire to take the next step in his career.
