Arsenal have reportedly accelerated their pursuit of Raphinha as they attempt to secure his signature this summer, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners are planning to “intensify their efforts” to sign Raphinha from Leeds United in the ongoing transfer window.
The north Londoners are eager to wrap up a deal for the Brazilian to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season.
The report adds that Mikel Arteta’s side have held discussions with Raphinha’s representatives about a potential move to the Emirates this summer.
Arsenal have emerged as No.1 favourites to sign the 25-year-old winger despite their league rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also being linked with the South American.
Arsenal are confident about acquiring the services of Raphinha before the end of the 2022 summer transfer window, despite the Gunners’ failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Raphinha has scored 11 goals and registered three assists in 35 appearances in the English top flight last season to help keep the Whites in the Premier League for another campaign.
The winger has scored 17 goals in 67 matches in all competitions for Leeds United since joining the Elland Road outfit from Rennes in 2020.
