Arsenal are hoping of signing Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho on loan, according to Spanish media outlet Sport, as quoted by The Sun.
The Gunners are holding discussions with the Spanish champions about a potential deal to sign the 27-year-old midfielder this summer.
The Catalan giants are prepared to loan out the Brazil international spending £142m on the playmaker in January 2018.
The report goes on to claim that the north Londoners might have to pay £27m to loan Coutinho for the Premier League season.
Arsenal have signed Nicolas Pepe, Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba and Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan so far.
Arsenal will begin their Premier League opener on Sunday at Newcastle United.
