Real Madrid are still interested in a move to sign David De Gea from Manchester United this summer, according to The Sun.
Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to lure the 27-year-old goalkeeper to the Bernabeu, despite Zinedine Zidane having stepped down as head-coach last week.
The United No 1. De Gea is a long-term target for the European champions, with the Spaniard having come within a whisker of signing for the Los Blancos back in 2015.
However, the move failed to materialise at the final hour before the shot-stopper ended up signing a new contract at Old Trafford.
Despite all this, De Gea has continued to be linked with a move to the Spanish giants in recent years, and the player has established himself as one of the world’s finest goalkeepers since his move to Manchester United back in 2011.
