The 29-year-old forward Wayne Rooney became England’s all-time leading goalscorer after netting his 50th international goal in 2-0 victory over Switzerland at Wembley on Tuesday night.
The Manchester United striker surpassed Sir Bobby Charlton’s record of 49 goals by converting a 84th-minute penalty which put the three lions 2-0 up against Swiss in Euro 2016 qualifier.
