One of the greatest attacking defenders in the history of the sport is Dani Alvez who continues to have major success at all the teams he plays for. He is, of course, remembered for his time playing at Barcelona in which they went through a period of being one of the most dominating sides in history. He has incredibly played for 4 separate sides in the Champions League – these being the previously mentioned Barcelona, Juventus, PSG and Sevilla.
In this period he has won 3 titles all while playing at Barcelona. He has made 111 appearances in the competition and even scored 12 goals in the process which is an incredible record for a defender.
