Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is on the verge of signing a new three-year deal with the club, keeping him at the Emirates Stadium until 2023.
Aubameyang’s contract had been due to expire in 2021, the speculation surrounding his future ‘has gathered pace.
According to The Telegraph, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta had remained confident that Aubameyang would remain at the Emirates and the forward is close to agreeing on a new three-year deal.
His contract will cover the 12 months he had left on his existing deal, and extend his stay by a further two years.
The Gabon international has been Gunners’ top goalscorer in each of his two campaigns at the Emirates, scoring 54 times in 85 Premier League appearances.
The 31-year-old has been with Arsenal since 2018.
