Manchester United reportedly seem ready to try to win the race to sign Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic.
The 23-year-old joined the Old Lady from Fiorentina in 2022 and has since gone on to contribute 19 goals and six assists in 46 appearances.
The Serbian international has scored 10 goals and registered four assists in 25 appearances so far this season, with eight of his goals coming from Serie A matches.
The Bianconeri are currently facing a challenging task to qualify for the Champions League next season, as they currently sit in ninth place in the Serie A table, trailing 12 points behind the fourth-placed Roma.
However, if the Old Lady manages to win the Europa League this season, they would eventually qualify for the 2023-24 Champions League.
Vlahovic played for 67 minutes in the match against Freiburg on Thursday before being replaced by Federico Chiesa in the second half.
Recent reports suggest that Chelsea are interested in the Serbian, and the frontman reportedly desires a move to the Premier League during this summer’s transfer window.
According to Calciomercato, Manchester United are leading the race to sign Vlahovic this summer, with the Serbian as their potential target. Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested in the striker, looking to fill the void left by Robert Lewandowski’s departure to Barcelona.
Vlahovic’s impressive performance for La Viola has attracted several suitors, with 49 goals and eight assists in 108 appearances for the Italian club. Although Arsenal made an attempt to sign him last January, the move fell through, and he ended up signing with Juventus.
Vlahovic’s future could potentially be influenced by the outcome of Harry Kane’s situation, as both Manchester United and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in the Tottenham Hotspur striker.
