Manchester United ‘on brink’ of agreeing deal for Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The Red Devils are close to finalising a deal to bring the 33-year-old striker to Old Trafford.
The same report states that the former Croatia international initially demanded £300,000-a-week to bring a halt to negotiations between the two parties.
It is believed United will have to pay £10m to sign the World Cup finalist who netted 10 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions last season.
The 20-time English champions have struggled in front of goal this term and after 10 Premier League outings they have only scored 13 goals.
Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping that Mandzukic’s experience can help the attacking line.
