Manchester United are lining up a swoop for Bayern Munich forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
The 33-year-old has impressed with the German champions this term, contributing eight goals and three assists in 13 appearances in all competitions.
The veteran forward missed the start of the season with a groin problem, but remain a regular since returning to action in September, scoring three goals in seven top flight appearances.
Since joining the Bavarians from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, the frontman has scored 26 goals and provided nine assists in 71 appearances for the club in all competitions.
There remains speculation surrounding Choupo-Moting’s future at Allianz Arena, with his current deal due to expire next June.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Der FCB are planning to open talks over a new deal for Choupo-Moting, with the German outfit determined to keep hold of him.
However, Manchester United are allegedly keen to sign the Cameroon international ahead of the next season. According to Media Foot, the Red Devils are ‘thinking very seriously’ about making a move for the forward.
The report adds that ‘his experience’ have made him an attractive target for the 20-time English champions, with the club likely to be in the market for at least one new striker next summer.
Choupo-Moting has won two Bundesliga titles during his time at Bayern.
