Manchester United are working on a deal to sign Newcastle United youngster Sean Longstaff this summer, according to ESPN.
The Red Devils are ready to launch a “formal offer” to sign the 21-year-old midfielder this summer as Ole Gunner Solskjaer sets about strengthening his squad at Old Trafford.
The report adds that the 20-time English champions are looking to sign at least one new midfielder in this summer as Solskjaer prepares for his first full season in charge.
The Magpies have “no desire” to sell Longstaff, who is currently under contract at St James’ Park until 2022.
Longstaff has made just nine Premier League appearances this season for the Magpies.
