Lyon have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Chelsea frontman Olivier Giroud as a potential January target.
The 33-year-old forward is attracting interest ahead of the mid-season transfer window.
According to Soccer Link, the Ligue 1 outfit may contact Chelsea regarding a potential deal for the France international, who has less than a year left on his current contract.
He has been provided with just 212 minutes of football since Frank Lampard took the reins at Stamford Bridge.
The report claims that a move may only come to fruition if Les Gones opt to cash in on Moussa Dembele as the Frenchman allegedly continues to be courted by Manchester United.
While Giroud would be available on cheap, Lyon may look to recoup well in excess of £40m should they part ways with Dembele.
