Liverpool are reportedly keen to edge out Manchester United in the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund, according to The Daily Mail.
The Reds have told Dortmund about their interest in signing the 19-year-old midfielder in this summer’s transfer window.
The report states that Jurgen Klopp’s previous working relationship with BVB could work in his favour in the race for the teenager’s signature.
However, Manchester United remain front-runners to sign the England international at the end of the season as well as Chelsea and Manchester City.
The report adds, the Dortmund star is thought to be keen on a move to Old Trafford despite their well-documented struggles this term.
Sancho has contributed 12 goals and 13 assists in 19 Bundesliga appearances this term.
