Manchester United attacker Juan Mata is reportedly the subject of interest from Barcelona, according to The Sun.
Mata’s contract will expire at the end of the 2018-19 campaign, meaning that the Spaniard is currently free to discuss a move to a foreign clubs with the view to signing a pre-contract.
The report adds, Barca have already begun discussions with Mata’s agent, his father, in an attempt to lure the 30-year-old playmaker back to Spanish League ahead of the 2019-2020 season.
The 41-time Spain international is due to be offered a 12-month deal by the Catalan giants, although the attacker is keen to sign a two-year contract.
Mata has scored five times and provided three assists in 28 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions.
