The German international Per Mertesacker will soon get a new three-year contract from Arsenal, according to The Mirror.
The 29-year-old, who joined the Gunners in 2011 from Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, now he is in his final year of his current deal in the next season.
The report claims, the Gunner boss Arsene Wenger has been highly impressed by the defender and wenger is keen on swoop him down to a new agreement.
