Barcelona defender Dani Alves has signed a new two-year contract extension with the Catalans, which will keep him at the Camp Nou until 2017. The Brazilian full-back new deal includes an option to extend his stay into third season.

With some of Europe’s biggest clubs with the likes of Manchester United and Inter Milan were strongly linked with the 32-year-old, who joined the Blaugrana from Sevilla in 2008.
However, the defender has committed his future by accepting a new deal with the recently-crowned European champions to remain for at least two more seasons.
Alves has helped Barca win five league titles, three Copa del Rey and three Champions League silverware during his seven-year spell at the Camp Nou.
