Manchester United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Chelsea defender Reece James.
The 19-year-old defender, who came through the youth system at Chelsea, racked up 42 Championship appearances for Wigan Athletic during the 2018-19 campaign.
Over the weekend, it was suggested that Brighton & Hove Albion had a £10million bid rejected for the teenager.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the west London club will also have to resist interest from Man United, with the 20-time English champions ‘continuing to track his progress’ ahead of a potential £15million bid.
James signed a new four-year contract with the Blues last summer despite the fact that the youngster is yet to make his first-team debut for the west Londoners.
