Daniel Sturridge is reportedly the subject of interest from Serie A outfit Bologna, according to The Express.
The 29-year-old forward, who is a free agent after being released by Liverpool at the end of last season, has ended a six-and-a-half-year spell at the Merseyside outfit.
Sturridge will not be short of offers from clubs across Europe, with Aston Villa are interested in signing the England international.
However, the report claims, Bologna are prepared to hand Sturridge an opportunity to play in Serie A’s top flight.
The Italian club finished in 10th position during the 2018-19 campaign, although it has been reported that they may struggle to meet Sturridge’s wage demands.
The Birmingham-born player has struggled with injuries in recent years, and he would be a risky signing for I Rossoblu in the summer transfer window.
