Reports have emerged that Barcelona are still keen on acquiring the services of Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Spanish outfit are believed to be eager to bring the Gabonese international back to Camp Nou this summer.
Since his move from Catalonia to London in September, Aubameyang has struggled to make his mark amidst a tumultuous campaign for the Blues.
Chelsea have been battling to secure a spot in the upper echelons of the fiercely competitive Premier League. It is widely believed that the 33-year-old’s lack of game time under former manager Graham Potter has been a key factor in his underwhelming performances, with Aubameyang starting just four league matches for the Blues this season.
According to a report in The Mirror, the Blaugrana have not given up hope of re-signing their former talisman. However, Aubameyang would likely have to accept a significant reduction in wages in order to secure his return to Camp Nou.
Barca boss Xavi is said to be monitoring Aubameyang’s situation, with a decision on his potential return expected to be made by the first week of June.
