Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for the Spanish champions Barcelona.
The Catalan giants could target a new attacker in January with Rafinha set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, while Sergi Roberto is also expected to miss the next few weeks with a hamstring issue.
Barca have been linked strongly with a move for Frenkie de Jong, but it is understood that Ajax want £75million for the Dutchman amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
According to Marca, the Camp Nou outfit have now switched their attention to Fornals, who has a £22million release clause with the La Liga outfit.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has scored three goals in 18 appearances for the Yellow Submarine this season.
