Atletico Madrid are weighing up a January move for Arsenal full-back Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The 23-year-old defender was strongly linked with a move away from the Gunners over the summer, but the Englishman still remain with the North London outfit.
Maitland-Niles has been a regular for the Gunners this term, racking up 17 appearances in all competitions, while he has started the team’s last two top flight matches.
According to Sky Sports News, the Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid are set to make a bid for Maitland-Niles at the beginning of 2021.
The report adds that Los Rojiblancos have been keeping a close eye on the England international’s progress over the past year and are now ready to make their move at the turn of the year.
Maitland-Niles is contacted to the Emirates Stadium until June 2023.
