Arsenal are reportedly planning to make a move for Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund this summer.
Despite only scoring nine goals in his debut season at Atalanta, the Danish forward has impressed with his overall abilities. He is particularly strong in aerial play and possesses excellent speed on counter-attacks. Additionally, he has a good physique.
Given his left-footed playing style, Hojlund has already drawn comparisons to Erling Haaland, and it seems that the Gunners are interested in acquiring him. Currently, the North Londoners rely on Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah to lead their attack; however, both players lack a strong aerial presence.
Hojlund’s addition would bring a different dynamic to Arsenal’s attack and potentially make them a more formidable force in terms of scoring goals.
One major obstacle for Arsenal could be the transfer fee. Atalanta are hesitant to let go of Hojlund for anything less than €60m this summer. Other clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Real Madrid, are also contenders for the highly-rated striker.
