The New York Giants have announced the signing of the two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul on a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old met with a fireworks accident in July and was forced to have a finger amputated following the incident, which put his career in doubt as a free agent. But he returns to the franchise by signing a new 1-year deal.

“I’m very excited to be back,” Pierre-Paul told the team’s official website. “I’m getting ready to do what I have to do. I’ve been training down in South Florida with my trainer.
Every day, I got up at 7:30 and lifted weights, I’ve been doing what I have to do to stay in football shape.”
The Giants have only nine sacks in seven games this season, and are believed to be hopeful that Pierre-Paul can return in the end of November.
