The 24-year-old has established himself as a pivotal player of the Denver defense last season, finishing with 129 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles, three interceptions and 10 pass deflections.
Trevathan is expected to return in late September, that means he will miss the first three games of the regular season. It has been reported that Linebackers Brandon Marshall could replace him during his absence.
