The Memphis Grizzlies announced that the team CEO Jason Levien and assistant general manager Stu Lash are set to depart the organization, according to reports from ESPN.
The report claims that Levien’s relationship with Grizzlies owner Robert Pera become progressively worse earlier this season.
“Our franchise has made tremendous strides over the last few seasons and we thank Jason for his hard work and dedication and wish him nothing but success in his future endeavors,” Pera said.
“Rest assured that we remain as committed as ever to bringing a championship to this great city and we are confident that when the new season begins our fans will be excited about both our roster and the direction of our organization.”
The General manager Chris Wallace will take in charge of the team’s basketball operations on a temporary basis, while chief operating officer Jason Wexler will responsible for the business operations.
