The Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce has been ruled out for a month due to his knee surgery, the team officially announced on Twitter.

The right fielder Bruce was scratched from Sunday’s lineup with left knee soreness.
The two-time All-Star has been an ironman for the Reds in recent years but with a slow start this season, the 27-year-old has hit .216/.352/.363 (98 OPS+) with three homers and 14 RBI in 30 games this season.
Obviously, the absence of Bruce would be a major blow to the Reds. He is the only lefty outfielder aside from Joey Votto.
