India’s wicketkeeper batsman Parthiv Patel has been recalled for the third Test match against England at Mohali starting on Saturday.
Patel, 31, will be making a comeback to the national Test squad after a gap of eight long years. He will replace Wriddhiman Saha, who is suffering form an injury on his left thigh.
Patel made his Test debut back in 2002 and appeared in his last Test against Sri Lanka in August 2008.
The Gujarat Ranji player, who plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, has played 20 Tests matches under his name.
