Former South Africa batsman Alviro Petersen has joined the County Cricket Club Lancashire after retiring from internationals.
The 34-year-old right-handed batsman, who has previous county experience at Somerset, Essex and Glamorgan but now he has penned a two-year deal with the Red Rose with an option to extend to a third year as a non-overseas player, subject to receiving official clearance.

He has scored 2,093 Test runs with five hundreds in 36 Tests for his country since making his debut against India, while he also played in 21 ODIs and two T20s for the Proteas.
Petersen took to twitter to tweet his thoughts after completing a two-year deal with the Lancashire,
