India’s right-arm fast-medium bowler Mohammad Shami has been ruled out of action after suffering a hamstring injury during training on Friday.
The 25-year-old will be out of action for around four to six weeks. He picked up an injury to his left hamstring, which will restrict him from playing the limited-overs cricket series against Australia, starting on January 12.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will replace the injured Shami for the five ODI and three Twenty20I series against the World champions at Down Under.
Kumar, who made his One-Day international debut against Pakistan at Chennai in 2012 has claimed 60 wickets in 55 ODIs at an average of 36.45.
