Former New Zealand Test batsman Craig McMillan has been appointed full-time batting coach of the national team for the next two years, The Black Caps confirmed on Twitter.

McMillan, 37, will give up his media commitments with Sky Sports as a commentator and will join head coach Mike Hesson, whose contract had extended until 2017, and bowling coach Shane Bond on a permanent basis.
McMillan played 55 Tests, 197 one-day internationals and 8 Twenty20 Internationals for the Black Caps between 1997 and 2007.
New Zealand are currently ranked seventh in both the test and ODI rankings and sixth in T20s.
