West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard has been appointed as the skipper of Mumbai Indians for the Champions League Twenty20 after Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the tournament due to finger and shoulder injuries.
The defending champions Mumbai Indians will have to qualify for the main tournament , who will start their campaign against Lahore Lions on Saturday, 2:30 PM GMT.
The 27-year-old has been an integral part of the Mumbai squad, who has scored 1778 runs in 96 games for Mumbai Indians and claimed 53 wickets since joining the franchise in 2010.
Mumbai Indians’ have also includes India’s spinner Harbhajan Singh and Sri Lanka’s seamer Lasith Malinga.
