Sydney Sixers have announced the signing of England all-rounder Joe Denly for the eighth edition of the KFC Big Bash League.
The 32-year-old will return to Sydney after he appeared in four matches for the franchise last summer.
Denly, a right-handed batsman and leg-spin bowler, is the Sydney Sixers’ first overseas signing with one more spot left available for an international recruit.
“The Big Bash has always been a competition that I’ve wanted to play in and I’m very proud to be part of it,” the Englishman said.
“I had a ball of it last time and I’m looking forward to it again this year.”
Sydney Sixers squad: Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Joe Denly (England), Mickey Edwards, John Hastings, Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Nathan Lyon, Peter Nevill, Stephen O’Keefe, Henry Thornton.
