Manchester City reportedly seem ready to try to win the race to sign Borussia Dortmund centre-forward Erling Braut Haaland.
The 21-year-old forward is widely expected to leave Westfalenstadion during this summer’s transfer window.
A number of clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Chelsea, have been credited with an interest.
However, according to Bild, Manchester City are at the head of the queue to sign the Norway international, who wants to join the Premier League at the end of the season.
The report adds that the Norwegian will soon make a decision on his future, but Real Madrid could now be out of the race, with the Spanish club seemingly focusing on signing PSG’s Kylian Mbappe.
Haaland has enjoyed another stellar season with the German outfit during the 2021-22 campaign, contributing 23 goals and six assists in 20 appearances in all competitions.
City are now seemingly focused on bringing Haaland to the Etihad Stadium.
