The report claims the Red Devils have joined the race and ready to lodge a £62.2m offer for the 28-year-old forward, who has been in excellent form this season, scoring 25 goals and provided 2 assists in 27 league games.
Jose Mourinho is heavily linked with United’s job next season and Higuain was a key member of Jose’s squad in Real Madrid that won the La Liga title in 2012.
Gonzalo might be Mourinho’s marquee signing at the Manchester United, as the 20-time English champion need a massive overhaul when the summer transfer window opens in June and must bring highly-rated stars to bring glory days back.
