The Australian Dav Whatmore has been officially confirmed as Zimbabwe’s new coach for the 2015 World Cup with a view to extending the contract after the tournament.
The 60-year-old will replace Stephen Mangongo, who had been sacked 12 days ago following his poor coaching stint during a recent tour of Bangladesh.
Zimbabwe is the fourth international team Whatmore will take lead followed by Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
